Marvelous Monday-VBS Day One
It’s raining & the roads are muddy but we are encouraged-inclement weather may alter our plans but not stop us, We Are On a Mission from God.
We’ve rented the Thomas Cheechoo Memorial Community Center to host our 4 Day VBS. Our theme is “Life in 6 Words” G.O.S.P.E.L. (God-Our-Sins-Paying-Everyone-Life)
The event runs from 1pm-4pm. We began with Raise the Praise (songs & body movements to go with them), then there’s the presentation of God’s Word (on day one, the focus is “GOD”), review of the day’s memory verse (Gen 1:1),
the boys are dismissed to Game activities & the girls to Crafts (we later flip them Guys to Crafts and Girls to Games), everyone gathers for an enthusiastic review of our time together & we end with snack & dismissal. The LORD blessed us with 60 children of various ages to serve on our first day-60 more lives to touch than we could ever deserve.
Monday evening we attended the monthly corporate prayer service at the Cree Gospel Chapel. We had the joy of being exhorted from Psalm 145, singing His praises and praying in small groups.
