THE kILGUS FAMILY

SUPPORTED MISSIONARIES IN TRUJILLO, PERU

ABOUT:

Pastor Cory was saved in Fort Bragg, California. He began attending Calvary Chapel Fort Bragg, and there he met his wife Danielle. They were married in 2011, and sent to Peru as missionaries in 2013. They now have 4 children, Abigail, Noah, Isabela and Sophia, who were all born in Peru. Isabela became part of the family in 2022 after her mother died.

Pastor Cory was ordained as a pastor in 2015 by Calvary Chapel Fort Bragg, and served at CCBC Peru and CCBC Jerusalem from 2013 to 201. God then called Cory and Danielle to move to the city of Trujillo, Peru and plant Calvary Trujillo. Trujillo is the largest city in the north of Peru, and the principal city for north Peru.

Their passion and calling is to plant bible-teaching churches throughout South America, and that started with Calvary Trujillo. God blessed the church and brought many Peruvians, as well as many immigrants from Venezuela. As the Lord added to the church, many people had a hunger for God. That led to them starting a Calvary discipleship house for Venezuelans to live and study the Word of God. God then led them to open a full-time discipleship program with the goal of raising up pastors, missionaries and church planters.

That was the beginning of Calvary Bible Institute Peru that now has over 50 students from 8 countries studying and preparing for ministry. There is a heavy focus on sound Bible teaching, practical service, and church planting.

Calvary Trujillo and CBI Peru sent their first church planters, a couple that immigrated from Venezuela, to start Calvary Buenos Aires, Peru in 2022. They are currently training pastors and preparing teams to plant churches in Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, the Amazon Jungle, and beyond.

They are also working with pastors from other cities and denominations in order to strengthen pastors and churches.

Calvary Trujillo has also started the first ever Calvary Chapel Missions Conference in South America, and the conference has become a source of great encouragement and inspiration for many pastors and leaders throughout Latin America.

Pastor Cory also works as part of the Calvary Chapel leadership team for Latin America, as part of the Inductive Bible Study team in South America, and is on the board for Christian Surfers Peru.

Cory and Danielle will celebrate 10 years in South America in 2023, and count themselves privileged and blessed to be able to serve the Lord. They hope to see more and more people reached for Christ in these last days, and many more bible-teaching churches planted throughout Latin America.
