A JOURNEY WORTH MAKING

We set out Wednesday morning from Calvary Chapel in our caravan of three “15” passenger & cargo vans.  It was a tedious & tiring drive to North Bay, Ontario to spend the night at a Best Western-but the LORD’s mercy & grace was great & He was with us.  We awoke in the morning, headed out for a stop at Walmart (pick up some food items that Pastor Josh O asked us to get), grabbed a bite to eat and off we drove to Cochrane, Ontario.  There’s no more roadways North to Moosonee, the only transportation is small plane & the Polar Bear Express train.  After spending the night in Cochrane, we loaded our cargo van on the train, and walked to the train station is a chilly rain but our hearts were warm with excitement. On the train we all spent some time in the Dome car (panoramic windows) and marveled at the beauty of the passing scenery.  At Moosonee we were met by pastor Josh with a school bus and cargo van.  One of the men from the Moosonee Community Church gave us a tour of Moosonee and dropped us off at the barge.  The Ontario Northland barge would ferry us and our two cargo vans across the Moose River to Moose Factory Island.  As we touched down on the island shore we were met with vehicles driven by folks from the Cree Gospel Chapel.  It was a blessed sight, since leaving our 15 passenger vans in Cochrane, we were prepared to walk from the barge to the church.  When we arrived at the Cree Gospel Chapel we gathered to bless the LORD, Who had sent us, brought us & blessed us with His hand upon us for the Good.  It took us two and half days to get to Moose Factory Island by van, train and barge but Bless the LORD we had arrived.
