This past Tuesday, April 12th marked the death of the first missionary sent out from the United States overseas. Adoniram Judson was born in Malden, Massachusetts in 1788, and served the Lord in Burma (modern day Myanmar) for 37 years until he died in 1850. I was going to write about his life with a link to a message given by John Piper that is basically his biography, and really, a great, stirring, missionary message !
