Ministry to Youth (7/8-7/9)

On Friday night we hosted a Movie & Ice Cream Social event for students in junior & senior high.  There was a good turn out of teenagers we’ve met as well as some new faces.  Popcorn was popped and we showed the movie Woodlawn.  Even in the far north, young people feel that their smart phones are an extension of themselves that they can’t put down but for quite a few students the movie prevailed and they gave it their attention.  After the movie was over, Pastor Josh gave an invitation to receive God’s gift of His Son & His great salvation.  There wasn’t a response at that time but while ice cream was being served and enjoy, CW students were personally sharing with those who attended and two young men requested to recommit their lives to Christ.

Saturday evening after the Hot Dog Handout outreach we invited students to come to the Chapel for a night of board games, testimony and a drama presentation.  It was way cool to watch junior and senior high school students playing Jenga, Uno, coin soccer and other non-electronic games.  Everyone then gathered in the front of the sanctuary to hear two members of our team and a young man from Western Ontario, Tony (who had become one of our team) share their testimonies.  They were precious, powerful, real & so resonated with the hearts & lives of Moose Factory students.  Our team then presented the “Everything” skit and Pastor Josh followed up with an exhortation & invitation to follow Jesus.  Some of the students stood and prayed, afterwards there were many heartfelt life stories & tears being shared in personal ministry around the room.  Moose Factory youth lingered long after the event was officially over.

I praise the LORD that I was blessed to see students we serve and pour our lives into being used by the Holy Spirit to do the same to the teenagers He’s put in our lives from Moose Factory.

Hallelujah Jesus
